G.J. Software Update – September 2023

This release introduces a modernized UI for the left side menu, bulk deletion of Items and Components, improved RFQ Document Structure display, and more. Bugs have been fixed, including Credit Note link issues, template ordering, and lead allocation. Technical improvements include database status updates and enhanced error handling for website leads.

✨ New

New tweaks and enhancements in this release:

  • Now you can select multiple Items and Components in Setup > Estimating to delete them in bulk. Learn more
  • Select All check boxes have been added to RFQ Document Structure to make it easier to modify how quote changes are displayed in a proposal. Learn more
  • Added a new button to print schedules for all active jobs from the jobs list. Now you can select between active and completed jobs. Learn more
  • More context as been added to ToDo tasks including job numbers and customer details in the task subject. If the task is from a schedule you will also have a link to that schedule. Learn more
  • Added a new drop down to DPP Jobs to nominate the Local authority and made the UI more similar to a normal Job. We also added a button to take you to the sales folder for the job. Learn more
  • New Preferred Supplier column added to Setup > Estimating > Cost Centers. Learn more
  • Additional information added to records in the Application Event Log. Links have also been added to some records like contacts and jobs with more to come soon. Learn more
  • When deleting items in Estimating > Bulk Update now the item/component selection defaults to “All”.
  • Now when you navigate to Setup > Estimating > Items/Components you don’t need to click into the search field. You can start typing as soon as the page loads to find what you’re looking for.
  • When you make a user who was transferred from another office inactive you no longer receive a warning that they were transferred.
  • Loading the list of leads is not 75% faster!
  • Snappier action in the side menu.

Bugs that were squashed in this release:

Accounts

  • Addressed various Credit Note link issues between Xero.

Admin

  • Email templates are now in alphabetical order in all lists.
  • Fixed an issue where the list of templates repeated itself.
  • Increased the number of job letters visible in Setup > Manage Letter Templates to 300 records.

Estimating

  • Fixed an issue where GTO reverted to the previous view on process.
  • Fixed an issue with the vertical scroll bar in GTO.

Sales

  • Added a 15-second delay to create website leads to avoid duplicates from being created.
  • Fixed an issue where the round robin of leads was sometimes reallocating leads to the same New Home Consultant twice in a row.
  • Updated calculation on the Monthly Sales Pipeline dashboard to match leads in EoM reports.
  • Fixed an issue where the AEL for house & land packages displayed the internal Id while the list of HLP showed the printed Id, causing some confusion as to which HLP was edited.

Scheduling

  • Fixed an issue where CCO tasks were inheriting the name of the Critical Path in construction schedule templates.
  • Fixed a minor issue that prevented the table settings from being modified in schedule templates.
  • Fixed and issue where jobs with handover dates showed in the schedules list.
  • Fixed an issue where the list of jobs was in a different sort order than the construction schedules list.

Other

  • Fixed an issue where “1” was being removed from the beginning of US phone numbers when sending an SMS.
  • Fixed the copy webhook button in System Variables > Integration Accounts.
  • Fixed an issue where Australian offices were not receiving the tax invoice for G.J. Software.

  • Add ARCHIVE status to database for manual journals in Xero.
  • Improved error handling for website leads created by system by defaulting all unknown referral sources to “Other”.
