How to Reprice a Price Book

Access a Price Book

  1. Log in to the Builder Portal.
  2. Choose Estimating > Price Books.
  3. Click;
    • The Row of the required Price Book to open,

– OR –

  1. The Edit icon to the right of the required Price Book to open.

Hover over the row of the required Price Book to display actionable icons; Clone, Application Event Log, Edit, and Delete.

Check the Details of a Price Book

  1. At the opening page of the required Price Book, check the following;
    • Price Book, name, amend as required,
    • Release Date, confirm it is the correct Price Book,
    • Repriced, if date >6 months old, bring to the attention of the Franchise Owner / Operations Manager,
    • Withdrawal, amend as required based specific office policy,
    • Usage, confirm it is the correct Price Book.
  1. At each page of the required Price Book, check the following;
    • Price Book;
      • House Plan Defaults, amend as required,
      • Items & Components Defaults, amend as required,
      • Quick Quote option and Markup, %, amend as required.

If any Defaults are amended and are required to be applied across the entire Price Book, the Apply Default Markups function must be actioned, File > Apply Default Markups, following will be a request for an Authorisation Number, this can be provided by the GJ Gardner Homes Support Team, it must be done live as the Source Number is randomly generated each time.

  1. House Plans;
    • For the correct House Plans, including Quick Quotes and Sales Estimates, amend as required,
    • For the correct House Plans that are ticked Allow QQ, amend as required,
    • For the correct QQ Markup %, amend as required.
  1. Items & Components;
    • For the correct Cost Centres, amend as required,
    • For the correct Items &/or Components in the appropriate Cost Centres, amend as required,
    • For any Deleted Items &/or Components, amend as required,
    • For the correct Markup, %, Round Up, $, and Delete, %, amend as required.

It is considered best practice to have a $1.00 Item in each Cost Centre of a Price Book to allow for unusual one-off Items.

  1. Memo;
    • For the correctness of any text, amend as required.

Reprice a Price Book

  1. Choose File > Reprice.
  1. A warning message page will display.
  1. If ok to continue, click Yes.

Clicking Yes will proceed with any changes that have been made, and cannot be undone or rolled back.

Prices in the Price Book will be updated with the current House Plan & Estimate cost prices in the database, Estimating > House Plans & Estimates, along with the applicable Total, % (markup), Price Round Up, either by default or by manual adjustment, and Items and/or Components cost prices in the database,  Setup > Estimating > Items and/or Setup > Estimating > Components, along with the applicable Markup, %, Round Up, $, and Delete, %, either by default or by manual adjustment.
