The left part accommodates the list of Tasks (Cost Centers), the right part accommodates the Gantt Chart for planning the construction activities and their distribution across the timeline.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tasks list shows the list of tasks grouped within the Critical Path stages. To view tasks within a specific stage, you can expand it by clicking the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For each task on the list, the following information is displayed:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><b>Number<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ordinal number of the Task on the list. The system assigns it automatically.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Task Name<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Name of the Task.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Resource<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supplier or Contractor who can provide a specific service for Task completion.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Type<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Type of the task:<\/span><p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>CP<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Critical Path.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>CCO<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Cost Center task.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>SUM <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 summary-task.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Pred.<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Number of the task which is a predecessor for the current task.<\/span><p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The parameter in the Pred. column can take one or a combination of the following values:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>FS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Finish to Start) \u2013 a predecessor task must finish before a successor task can start.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>SS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Start to Start) \u2013 a predecessor task must start before a successor task can start.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>FF<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Finish to Finish) \u2013 a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">predecessor task must finish before a successor task can finish.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>SF<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Start to Finish) &#8211; a predecessor task must start before a successor task can finish.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Duration<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planned duration of the task in days.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Notes<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notes about the task.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Managing Tasks in the Construction Schedule Template<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tasks list shows the hierarchy of all tasks that should be completed for successful completion of the Job.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By default, the hierarchy of tasks is taken from the Construction Critical Path with all the Cost Centers mapped to each stage of this Critical Path.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can modify this structure and add new tasks, as well as sub-tasks within it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>To add a Cost Center into the Tasks list:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Above the Tasks list, locate the Add Cost Center button and click it.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the <b>Find Cost Centers<\/b> form, select one or multiple Cost Centers for adding them into the Tasks list.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1041\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/find-cost-centers-form-template1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/find-cost-centers-form-template1.png 800w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/find-cost-centers-form-template1-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/find-cost-centers-form-template1-768x575.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><b>Add Selected<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Additionally, you can modify ancestors and predecessors of tasks, as well as their duration.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the list with tasks, locate the one you want to edit.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hover over it until the action icons appear.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <b>Edit&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-188 alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/edit-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"15\" height=\"15\">&nbsp;<\/b>icon. This is a quick and efficient way to estimate the overall duration of all tasks in the Schedule Template and trace dependencies between tasks. So that you can see how the increase in duration of one task impacts other tasks and the overall duration in general.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each Cost Center, task and sub-task represents an activity which is shown on the Gantt Chart as an activity bar. By default, duration of each activity equals one day and all activities start from the same day. The Critical Path Stage is shown as progress activity bar on the Gantt Chart. Its length is determined automatically from the scope of all tasks within this stage.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the activities are distributed through the timescale.
