Construction Critical Paths (CCP’s) are major stages of construction that you may want to monitor on a week-to-week basis. Normally, you would have 5 to 10 stages in your Critical Path. The Construction Critical Path is comprised of Cost Centers that determine the sequence of construction operations. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. To manage Construction Critical Paths, on the navigational sidebar, select <\/span>Setup<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Once the Setup section expands, select <\/span>Schedules<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  3. On the tabbed menu, select <\/span>Critical Path<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The page with the list of Construction Critical Paths opens as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Construction Critical Path is comprised of the three blocks, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Construction Critical Path list<\/b><\/td>Shows the list of Construction Critical Paths.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
    Cost Centers (Tasks) list<\/b><\/td>Shows the list of Cost Centers (Tasks) associated with the selected Construction Critical Path.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
    Unused Cost Centers list<\/b><\/td>Shows the list of Cost Centers that are not used in the selected Construction Critical Path.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    For each Construction Critical Path, the following information is displayed:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Name<\/b><\/td>Name of the Construction Critical Path.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
    Slab<\/b><\/td>Flag that the Construction Critical Path is Slab.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
    Substitute With<\/b><\/td>When a Critical Path Stage is deleted you must provide another Critical Path Stage to Substitute it with.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    You can perform the following operation on Construction Critical Paths:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • add new Construction Critical Path stages<\/span><\/li>
    • edit the existing Construction Critical Path stages<\/span><\/li>
    • delete the no longer needed Construction Critical Path stages<\/span><\/li>
    • undelete the deleted Construction Critical Path stages<\/span><\/li>
    • associate Cost Centers with Construction Critical Path stages<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Adding a Construction Critical Path Stage<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      1. Above the list with Construction Critical Path stages, locate and click the <\/span>Create \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span>\"\"<\/li>
      2. In the <\/span>Add Critical Path Stage<\/b> form, enter the name of the Critical Path stage.<\/span><\/li>
      3. When complete, click <\/span>Save<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
      4. Click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Editing the Construction Critical Path Stage<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        When you update names of Construction Critical Path stages, they will be updated throughout the system (for example, in Job Schedules, Schedule Templates).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. On the list with Construction Critical Path stages, locate the one you want to edit.<\/span><\/li>
        2. Hover over the Construction Critical Path stage until the action icons appear.<\/span><\/li>
        3. Click the <\/span>Edit \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
        4. In the <\/span>Edit Critical Path Stage<\/b> form, make the appropriate modifications.<\/span><\/li>
        5. Click <\/span>Save<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
        6. When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Deleting the Construction Critical Path Stage<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          You can delete Construction Critical Path stages that are not used in the system (for example, in Job Schedules, Schedule Templates).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. On the list with Construction Critical Path stages, locate the one you want to delete.<\/span><\/li>
          2. Hover over the Construction Critical Path stage until the action icons appear<\/span><\/li>
          3. Click the <\/span>Delete \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
          4. Confirm the removal of the Construction Critical Path stage.<\/span><\/li>
          5. If this Stage has been used you must provide another Critical Path Stage to Substitute it with.<\/span><\/li>
          6. When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Undeleting the Construction Critical Path Stage<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
            1. Above the list with Construction Critical Path stages, locate the <\/span>Show deleted<\/b> toggle.<\/span><\/li>
            2. To show deleted stages, move the toggle right.<\/span><\/li>
            3. On the list locate the deleted Construction Critical Path stage you want to undelete. It will be highlighted with the red Deleted label.<\/span><\/li>
            4. Hover over the Construction Critical Path stage until the action icons appear.<\/span><\/li>
            5. Click the <\/span>Undelete \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
            6. When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Managing Order of Stages in the Construction Critical Path<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
              1. On the list with Construction Critical Path stages, locate the one which position on the list you want to change.<\/span><\/li>
              2. Drag the \"\" <\/span>part of the row to the appropriate position on the list.<\/span><\/li>
              3. When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Managing Cost Centers in Construction Critical Path Stages<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                You can manage Cost Centers in the Construction Critical Path stages, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. add Cost Centers from the Unused Cost Centers list into the Cost Centers (Tasks) list<\/span><\/li>
                2. remove Cost Centers from the Cost Centers (Tasks) list<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  To add a Cost Center into the Cost Centers (Tasks) list:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Select the Construction Critical Path stage.<\/span><\/li>
                  2. On the Unused Cost Centers list, locate the Cost Center you want to add.<\/span><\/li>
                  3. Hover over the Cost Center until the action icon appears.<\/span><\/li>
                  4. Click the <\/span>Move to CC (Tasks) \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
                  5. When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    To remove a Cost Center from the Cost Centers (Tasks) list:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    1. Select the Construction Critical Path stage.<\/span><\/li>
                    2. On the Cost Centers (Tasks) list, locate the Cost Center you want to remove.<\/span><\/li>
                    3. Hover over the Cost Center until the action icon appears.<\/span><\/li>
                    4. Click the <\/span>Move to Unused CC \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
                    5. When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                      To locate the Cost Center on the list:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      1. Click the <\/span>Go To \"\"<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
