Software Users"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s changing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 29 (<strong>US<\/strong>) and March 30 (<strong>AU\/NZ<\/strong>) all Users will be asked to re-authenticate their Google Workspace account when they log into G.J. Software. You will be prompted to allow G.J. Software to access your Google Account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who\u2019s impacted&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All G.J. Software users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why it matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>G.J. Software uses the Google Sign In JavaScript Platform Library to facilitate the login procedure for the application. Google <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.googleblog.com\/2021\/08\/gsi-jsweb-deprecation.html\">announced<\/a> that this library is being discontinued and requires all integrated applications like G.J. Software to migrate to the new <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/identity\/gsi\/web\/guides\/overview\">Sign In with Google<\/a> client library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Getting started<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no end-user setting for this feature. Everyone who logs into G.J. Software will be automatically prompted to sign in with Google when they log in starting March 29 (<strong>US<\/strong>)\u00a0 and March 30 (<strong>AU\/NZ<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will still see the same Google Sign In button you\u2019re used to seeing. When you click <strong>Sign In Via Google<\/strong> you will see the standard Google Sign In screen. You must click <strong>Allow<\/strong> to continue to the application. If it\u2019s your first time logging in you will be required to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) on the next screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1512\" height=\"982\" src=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9037\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you perform an action in the system that requires access to Google Drive, such as adding an email attachment or importing a document into Graphic Take Off you will be prompted again to allow G.J. Software access to your Google Account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1512\" height=\"982\" src=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9036\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>This example shows adding an attachment to an email which will invoke Google authentication.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Continue <\/strong>to allow G.J. Software access to your Google Drive files. You will then be able to upload files from Google Drive.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">If you are logged into multiple Google Workspace accounts, it is important that you select the correct account you are attempting to access the Drive files for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rollout pace&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This will impact all user sign-ins starting March 29 (<strong>US<\/strong>) and March 30 (<strong>AU\/NZ<\/strong>).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On March 29 (US) and March 30 (AU\/NZ) all Users will be asked to re-authenticate their Google Workspace account when they log into G.J.
