The Job Estimate is created when the Sale is completed by the Salesperson and authorized by the Franchisee. At this time a To Do message is sent to the Estimator. The Job Estimate is created by first copying from the House Plan used on the successful quotation. Next the Variations<\/span> are added (or subtracted) from the Job Estimate. Each Variation<\/span> is flagged and requires confirmation by the Estimator before Orders can be produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is possible to edit Job Estimate in Authorise mode only. <\/span><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
  1. On the navigational sidebar select <\/span>Jobs<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  2. In the expanded Sales section, select <\/span>Jobs List<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  3. Search for the needed Job.<\/span><\/li>
  4. Hover over the Job and click the <\/span>Job Estimate <\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>
  5. The Job Estimate page comprises three resizable blocks. The upper left one is for Cost Centers, the middle one is for Components and Items, and the lower left one is for Take off Parameters. <\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    Components and Items block contains the following sub-tabs:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
    • Items (for Components)<\/span><\/li>
    • Cutting list (For Items);<\/span><\/li>
    • Formula (For Items);<\/span><\/li>
    • Item memo (For Items);<\/span><\/li>
    • Component memo (for Components)<\/span><\/li>
    • Orders (For Items);<\/span><\/li>
    • Color selection<\/span>;<\/span><\/li>
    • Cost center memo.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      The page opens as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Cost Centers block<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      Cost Centers block contains the list of cost centers pulled from the Base House Plan. For each Cost Center the following information is displayed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      Number<\/strong><\/td>The number of the Cost Center.<\/td><\/tr>
      Description<\/strong><\/td>The description of the Cost Center.<\/td><\/tr>
      Order Cost, $<\/strong><\/td>The total cost of the order.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
      To filter Cost Centers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
      The filter Cost Centers, click the Arrow \"\"<\/strong> icon and select form the dropdown list a needed order cost. By default Show all<\/em> value is set. Once a value is selected, the system show Cost Centers according to the selected order cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      To go to a specific Cost Center<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      1. Click the <\/span>Find \"\" <\/b>icon.<\/span><\/li>
      2. In the opened Go to Cost Center # form, enter either a needed Cost Center number or select it from the list.<\/span>\"\"<\/li>
      3. Once selected, the system highlights the Cost Center.<\/span>\"\"<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        To see the order details of a cost center<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        1. Hover over a cost center (except Components) and click the Information \"\"<\/strong> icon. The Orders form shows what the Order will contain when it is produced.The Order Details form opens, as follows:\"\"<\/li>
        2. Here the following information is displayed:
          \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
          Order No<\/strong><\/td>\nThe number of the order.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
          Order Cost, $<\/strong><\/td>\nThe cost of the whole order in US dollars.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
          Expand  icon<\/strong><\/td>\nClick it to view the list of added items.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
          Code<\/strong><\/td>\nA unique identifier of an Item.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
          Qty<\/strong><\/td>\nThe quantity of each item.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
          Cost, $<\/strong><\/td>\nThe cost of each item.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
          Extension, $<\/strong><\/td>\nThe calculated cost of Items within the Component (Item cost multiplied by Quantity).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          To add a new Cost Center<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          1. Click the Add \"\" <\/strong>icon.<\/li>
          2. In the opened Find Cost Centers form search for a needed Cost Center.\"\"<\/li>
          3. Tick the radio button next to the Cost Center.<\/span><\/li>
          4. Click the <\/span>Add Selected<\/b> button. <\/span>The Cost Center is added according to its number. A new record is highlighted in light-orange and marked with the asterisk. <\/span><\/li>
          5. Click the <\/span>Recalculate \"\" <\/b> icon to get the up-to-date costs.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            Components block<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            Component is a set of items. When you create a component, you add items to it and nominate in which center the item should be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
            To access Components, click the first line in the Cost Centers list. All the others Cost Centers contain Items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
            In the Components block, the following information might is available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
            Code<\/strong><\/td>A unique identifier of a component.<\/td><\/tr>
            Description<\/strong><\/td>The description of a component.\n
             <\/p>\n
            Double click the field to edit the description.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
            Qty<\/strong><\/td>The quantity of items used within the Component.\n
             <\/p>\n
            The quantity can be changed manually if there is no formula or cutting list for the item. Double click the field to edit the quantity. Once the quantity is changed, click the Recalculate \"\"<\/strong> icon to get the actual cost of the component.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
            Cost, $<\/strong><\/td>Cost in US dollars per one component.<\/td><\/tr>
            UoM<\/strong><\/td>Unit of measure of a component.<\/td><\/tr>
            Extension, $<\/strong><\/td>The calculated cost of component according to the quantity (Component cost multiplied by Quantity).<\/td><\/tr>
            VAR<\/strong><\/td>A Change Order pulled from Quote or Job Change orders.<\/td><\/tr>
            Fml<\/strong><\/td>Mark that the formula is used for calculation of an Item cost.\n
             <\/p>\n
            The green circle\"\" icon is displayed if there is a formula for an Item cost.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
            Cut<\/strong><\/td>Mark that the cutting list is used for calculation of an Item cost.\n
             <\/p>\n
            The green circle \"\" icon is displayed if there is a cutting list for an Item cost.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
            To view Items added to a Component<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
            1. Click a component in the Components block.<\/li>
            2. In the Items tab at the bottom of the Components block there is a list of all items added to the component. Find a needed item.<\/li>
            3. Right click the item you want to view > Go to Item<\/strong>.\"\"<\/li>
            4. The system redirects you to the Cost Center and highlights the item which is part of a component.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
              To go to a specific Component<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
              1. Click the Find <\/strong> icon.<\/li>
              2. In the opened Go to Component<\/strong> form, all components are shown. You can either enter a needed Item number or select it from the list.\"\"<\/li>
              3. Once selected, the system highlights the component.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                To add a new Component<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                1. Over the right top part of the list with Components, click the Add \"\"<\/strong> <\/strong>icon.<\/li>
                2. In the opened Find Items & Components form there is a list of all active components in the system. Search for the required component(s).<\/li>
                3. Tick the checkbox next to the component(s).<\/li>
                4. Click the Add Selected<\/strong> button.\"\"<\/li>
                5. The components are added at the top of the list. New records are highlighted and marked with the asterisk.<\/li>
                6. Click the Recalculate \"\"<\/strong> icon to get the up-to-date costs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                  Items block<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                  The Items block is similar to the Components block. All Cost Centers, except the first line in the list named Components, contain Items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
                  The following information is available in the Items block:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
                  Code<\/strong><\/td>A unique identifier of an item.<\/td><\/tr>
                  Description<\/strong><\/td>The description of an item.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  Double click the field to edit the description.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                  S.Tax <\/strong>(availabe for USA only)<\/td>Mark that the sales tax is applied to a component.<\/td><\/tr>
                  Qty<\/strong><\/td>The quantity of items used within the Component.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  The quantity can be changed manually if there is no formula or cutting list for the item. Double click the field to edit the quantity. Once the quantity is changed, the system recalculates the actual cost of the component.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                  Cost, $<\/strong><\/td>Cost in US dollars per one Item which is pulled from Quote.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  Double click the field to edit the cost. If a cost is edited, click the Recalculate \"\" <\/b>icon to get the up-to-date costs.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                  UoM<\/strong><\/td>Unit of measure of an item.<\/td><\/tr>
                  VAR<\/strong><\/td>Unconfirmed Changed Order.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  If there an unconfirmed changed order, there is the \"\" icon in the field. To confirm it, double click the icon. When the icon disappears, click  Process <\/strong> to get the up-to-date costs.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                  Extension, $<\/strong><\/td>The calculated cost of Items within the Component (Item cost multiplied by Quantity).<\/td><\/tr>
                  Lkd<\/strong><\/td>A checkbox to locked an item.<\/td><\/tr>
                  Order<\/strong><\/td>Order shows which order in a particular Cost Center is set.<\/td><\/tr>
                  Cmp<\/strong><\/td>Mark that the component is used for calculation of an Item cost.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  The green circle \"\" icon is displayed if there is a component for an item cost.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                  Fml<\/strong><\/td>Mark that the formula is used for calculation of an Item cost.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  The green circle \"\" icon is displayed if there is a formula for an item cost.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                  Cut<\/strong><\/td>Mark that the cutting list is used for calculation of an Item cost.\n
                   <\/p>\n
                  The green circle \"\" icon is displayed if there is a cutting list for an item cost.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
                  To change a Cost Center of an Item<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                  1. Hover over an item you need to change a Cost Center and click the Change CC <\/strong>\"\" icon.<\/li>
                  2. In the opened Select Cost Center form search for a Cost Center.<\/li>
                  3. Tick the radio button next to the Cost Center.<\/li>
                  4. Click Select<\/strong>.\"\"<\/li>
                  5. The item is moved to the selected Cost Center. You are redirected to the appropriate Cost Center\u2019s item. A new record is highlighted in light-orange and marked with the asterisk.<\/li>
                  6. Click Recalculate<\/strong> to get the up-to-date costs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                    To view and edit Cutting list\/Formula\/Item Memo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                    1. Click the required Cost Center in the Cost Centers block.<\/span><\/li>
                    2. Click the required item in the Items block.<\/span><\/li>
                    3. In the lower part of the Items block there are tree tabs: Cutting list, Formula and Item Memo. <\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                      Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
                      Formula and Item Memo tabs are editable.\nIf there is a green circle \"\" icon in the Fml column in the upper part of the Items block, a formula is added to the item. Switch to the Formula tab. There has to be a formula for the item. You can add, edit or delete formula.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
                      To edit <\/strong>a formula.<\/td>\n
                        \n
                      1. Edit a formula manually or select the appropriate element set and then drag an individual function or parameter to the Formula box.<\/li>\n
                      2. Click Test <\/strong>to verify that the formula is entered correctly.<\/li>\n
                      3. When a formula is entered, a green circle  icon is added to the Fml column in the upper part of the Items block.<\/li>\n
                      4. Click Recalculate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                      To add <\/strong>a formula.<\/td>\n
                        \n
                      1. Enter the formula in the block manually or select it from the list of formula types on the right.<\/li>\n
                      2. Click Test <\/strong>to verify that the formula is entered correctly.<\/li>\n
                      3. When a formula is entered, a green circle  icon is added to the Fml column in the upper part of the Items block.<\/li>\n
                      4. Click Recalculate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                      To delete <\/strong>a formula.<\/td>\n
                        \n
                      1. Click Clear<\/strong>. A green circle  icon is deleted from the Fml column in the upper part of the Items block.<\/li>\n
                      2. Click Recalculate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
                        \"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
                        If there is a green circle \"\" icon in the Cut column in the upper part of the Items block, a cutting list is added to the item. You can either add a new item, update or delete the existing items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
                        To edit an item<\/strong> in the cutting list.<\/td>\n
                          \n
                        1. Double click the Description, Pieces or Length.<\/li>\n
                        2. Edit the field.<\/li>\n
                        3. When completed, click Recalculate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                        To add a new item<\/strong> to the cutting list.<\/td>Click the Add \"\" <\/strong>icon.\n
                         <\/p>\n
                        A new row highlighted in light-orange is added. Enter the description, pieces and length in the appropriate columns.<\/p>\n
                        When entered, click Recalculate<\/strong>. A green circle \"\" icon is added to the Cut column in the upper part of the Items block.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr>
                        To delete an item<\/strong> from the cutting list.<\/td>Hover over an item you want to delete and click the Delete<\/strong> \"\" icon.\n
                         <\/p>\n
                        The system deletes the item without confirming the action.<\/p>\n
                        A green circle \"\" icon is deleted from the Cut column in the upper part of the Items block.<\/p>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
                        Switch to the Memo tab. Enter additional information on the item.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
                        When complete, click <\/span>Process<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
                        To manage unconfirmed Change Orders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                        When you open a Job estimate and see the Unconfirmed Change Orders button<\/span>, that means Change Orders have been made, either before completion (i.e. at the RFQ stage) or after completion. The changes must be confirmed by the Estimator. The number shows Unconfirmed Change Order.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
                        \"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
                        1. Click the Unconfirmed Change Orders<\/strong> button.<\/li>
                        2. You are redirected to an item or component which is not confirmed.<\/li>
                        3. To confirm a Change Order, double click the the icon \"\" in the CO column.<\/li>
                        4. The icon disappears from the column, the number on the Unconfirmed Change Orders button is changed.<\/li>
                        5. To get the up, click Process<\/strong>.<\/li>
                        6. Repeat the steps above for all Unconfirmed Change Orders.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
