A dialogue opens prompting the user to download the file, which they can then print from their native PC or Mac print dialogue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6863\" width=\"364\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image.png 727w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-50x26.png 50w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-16x8.png 16w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-60x32.png 60w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-100x53.png 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 364px) 100vw, 364px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">Individual Documents are also saved to the designated location in Google Drive, e.g. Job Orders will still be saved to Job Docs &gt; Orders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some files take longer to combine than others. For example, 100 job orders will take longer to combine than 3 job orders. In instances like this, a To Do message gets generated for the user who initiated the print function to let them know when the document is ready to be printed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6864\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">If a Corporate or Master user initiates the print, they will need to check their To Do messages from either their Master or Corporate view.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Printer setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-1024x300.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-1024x300.png 1024w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-300x88.png 300w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-768x225.png 768w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-50x15.png 50w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-1536x450.png 1536w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-2048x601.png 2048w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-16x5.png 16w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-60x18.png 60w, https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/printer-system-variables-100x29.png 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two methods in which documents can be printed and configured in System Variables. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Standard Print<\/strong>: Downloads a PDF to be printed.<\/li><li><strong>Cloud Print<\/strong>: Saves files to the user&#8217;s My Drive folder in Google Drive.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Standard Print<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Standard Print is the <a href=\"http:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/nz\/2021\/03\/10\/making-standard-print-the-default-printing-method\/\">default printing method<\/a>. If left to the default, when documents such as Job Orders or End of Month reports are produced, the system generates a link to the PDF which can be downloaded and printed. Each staff member will need to be able to access the local office printer to use this function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"connecting-to-printers\">Connecting to printers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Printer setup varies depending on your operating system and individual printer. However, printers are typically managed by your computer settings. More information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/install-a-printer-in-windows-10-cc0724cf-793e-3542-d1ff-727e4978638b\">Install a printer in Windows 10<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/guide\/mac-help\/add-a-printer-mh14004\/mac\">Add a printer on Mac<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"printing-from-google-chrome\">Printing from Google Chrome<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not have a default PDF viewer enabled on your computer, Google Chrome will open the document for you. You can then click the&nbsp;<strong>Print icon<\/strong>&nbsp;or press&nbsp;<strong>Ctrl + P<\/strong>&nbsp;on your keyboard to open the print dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have never&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/1069693\">printed from Chrome<\/a>&nbsp;before you may not see your printer right away. Click the&nbsp;<strong>Destination&nbsp;<\/strong>field and select&nbsp;<strong>See more\u2026<\/strong>&nbsp;and then choose the desired printer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"710\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-2.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6869\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cloud Printers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">Cloud was formerly the default printing method but was deprecated when Google <a href=\"http:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/nz\/2020\/12\/07\/standard-print-replacing-google-cloud-print\/\">discontinued support for the Google Cloud Print<\/a> service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Documents can also be saved directly to Google Drive via the Cloud Printer System Variable.
