{"id":7962,"date":"2021-11-06T15:57:31","date_gmt":"2021-11-06T15:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/3.26.62.22\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=7962"},"modified":"2021-11-11T19:32:45","modified_gmt":"2021-11-11T19:32:45","slug":"color-selection-masters","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"http:\/\/help.gjgardner.com\/nz\/hc\/setup\/job-admin-settings\/color-selection-masters\/","title":{"rendered":"Color Selection Masters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Color Selection Masters are templates that are used for producing Job Color Selections.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Color Selections are made up of four levels, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Headings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 are top level categories for grouping color details<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Sub-Headings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; are more detailed categories<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Items<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; are all details for colors that relate to the subheading and heading they are grouped under. The text contains description of what is being chosen, e.g. Color\/Model\/Style. The text can also have default values supplied. This allows you to construct a Masters which can relate to individual finish levels.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Cost Centers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Cost Centers are used to connect the Detail Line back to an Order These links are used in Job Estimating so that the Estimator can easily compare the items in the Cost Center to the detail lines from the Color Selection<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To manage Color Selection Masters, on the navigational sidebar, select <\/span><b>Setup<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the Setup section expands, select <\/span><b>Job Admin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the tabbed menu, select <\/span><b>Color Selection<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here you can see the list of Color Selection Masters and their names.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can perform the following operations on Color Selection Masters:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">add new Color Selection Masters<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">edit the existing Color Selection Masters<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">clone the existing Color Selection Masters<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">delete the no longer needed Color Selection Masters<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">view usage of Color Selection Masters<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">undelete the deleted Color Selection Masters<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Creating a New Color Selection Master<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Above the list with Color Selection Masters, locate the <\/span><b>Add&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-204 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/create-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"15\" height=\"20\">&nbsp;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">icon and click it.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the Create Color Selection Master page, enter the name of the Color Selection Master.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When complete, click <\/span><b>Process<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Populating Color Selection Master with Data<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you have created a new Color Selection Master, you need to populate it with data that will fall into the four levels, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headings<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sub-Headings<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Items<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cost Centers<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All these entities are managed in the relatively similar way as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>To add a new heading:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Above the Headings and Items list, locate the <\/span><b>Create New Heading&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-204 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/create-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"15\" height=\"20\"><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon and click it.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter the title of a new heading.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To show this heading on a new page, check the <\/span><b>New Page<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> box.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When complete, appear.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><b>Create New Sub-Heading&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full appear.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><b>Create New Item<\/b>&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-204 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/create-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"15\" height=\"20\">&nbsp;<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specify the color, style of model of the item.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When complete, click <\/span><b>Process<\/b><span locate the item which you want to map the Cost Center.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hover over the item until the action icons appear.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><b>Add Cost Center&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-204 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/create-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"15\" height=\"20\"><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Find Cost Centers form, select one or multiple Cost Centers which the Item will attribute to.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When complete, click <\/span><b>Process<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div delete.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the action icons appear, click the <\/span><b>Delete&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-206 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/delete-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"12\" height=\"16\"><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When complete, click <\/span><b>Process<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please consider that when you remove heading, sub-heading or item, all its child elements will be removed too.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>To change order of elements in the Color Selection Master:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To change order of elements, click and hold the&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-665 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/draggable-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"9\" height=\"15\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">part of the element row and drag it to the appropriate place.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To move the element from one parent element to another, click and hold the&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-665 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/draggable-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"9\" height=\"15\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> part of the element row and drag it to a new element under which you want to place it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While changing the order of elements, please consider the following:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you move the element having some other child elements, these child elements will be moved.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You cannot violate the hierarchy of elements. This way you cannot place the Cost Center or item under another heading or put the sub-heading under the Cost Center.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Editing the Color Selection Master<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the list with Color Selection Masters, locate the one you want to edit.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hover over the Color Selection Master until the action icons appear.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><b>Edit&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-188 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/edit-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"15\" height=\"15\"><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the <\/span><b>Edit Color Selection Master<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> page, make the appropriate modifications.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When complete, click <\/span><b>Process<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Deleting the Color Selection Master<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the list with Color Selection Masters, locate the one you want to delete.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hover over the Color Selection Master until the action icons appear.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><b>Delete&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-557 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/builder-help.gjgardner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/mark-deleted-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"14\"><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Confirm the removal of the Color Selection Master.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Undeleting the Color Selection Master<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Above the list with Color Selection Masters, locate the <\/span><b>Show deleted<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> toggle.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To show deleted Color Selection Masters, move the toggle right.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the list locate the deleted Color Selection Master you want to undelete.
