  1. To configure Accounting variables, on the navigational sidebar, select <\/span>Setup<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Once the Setup section expands, select <\/span>System Variables<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  3. On the tabbed menu, select <\/span>Accounting<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Accounting Variables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Accounting variables fall into the two groups, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Accounts Receivable<\/span><\/li>
    • WIP<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The Accounts Receivable group displays the following information:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Accounts Receivable Information<\/span><\/div>
      Income Account for Contact Jobs<\/b><\/td>Click the \"\" <\/span>icon and select the Xero income account for contact jobs.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
      Income Account for Speculative Jobs<\/b><\/td>Click the \"\" <\/span>icon and select the Xero income account for speculative jobs.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      The WIP group displays the following information:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      WIP Group Information<\/span><\/div>
      Work in Progress (Asset Account)<\/b><\/td>Click the \"\" <\/span> icon and select the Xero account for tracking Work in Progress. This account may be also referred as Asset Account.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
      Opening WIP (Cost Sales)<\/b><\/td>Click the \"\" <\/span> icon and select the Xero account for opening WIP. This account may be also referred as Cost Sales.<\/span><\/td><\/tr>
      Closing WIP (Cost of Sales)<\/b><\/td>Click the \"\" <\/span> icon and select the Xero account for closing WIP. This account may be also referred as Cost of Sales.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Unlocking Accounting Parameters <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      1. To unlock the accounting parameters, click <\/span>Modify<\/b>. In the <\/span>Authorization Required<\/b> form, enter the authorization number and click <\/span>Apply<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
      2. Once you click the \"\" <\/span>icon, the Xero Chart of Accounts form opens.<\/span><\/li>
      3. In the form, select the appropriate Xero account that will be mapped to the current account in the system.<\/span>\"\"<\/li>
      4. Click <\/span>Select<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
