What’s changing

In the next release of G.J. Software, we’re adding several new features designed to make it easier to manage DPP jobs and jobs that have been Finalized.

• Create Job Specifications and Color Selections for DPP jobs
• Produce job letters and send email/SMS communications from DPP jobs
• Edit memos, produce job letters and send email/SMS communications for Finalized jobs

Why it matters

As the construction lending industry continues to tighten restrictions, lenders require more information before they approve financing. We’re seeing an increasing number of lenders asking for a more detailed specification earlier in the process than ever before. By making it easier to produce a job specification earlier in the DPP process, our goal is to reduce the amount of time to obtain finance approval and result in an overall better experience for your customers.

Additional details 

A handful of features have been added for DPP, Finalized, and Not Proceeding jobs:

• DPP job specs and color selection: Now you can produce a job specification and color selection for DPP jobs just like you would for any other job.
• Job letters and communications: We added the Letters/Docs and Communications tabs to DPP jobs. You can also now continue to produce letters and send communications after the job has been finalized. 
• Edit memos: Now you can edit the memo field for both Finalized and Not Proceeding jobs without unticking the corresponding box.

Getting started

Masters: There is no end-user setting for these features.

Franchises: No action is required. These features are available to anyone with the corresponding job administration office role permissions. 

Availability

These features will be generally available during the November software release scheduled for 8 November in the United States and 9 November in Australia and New Zealand.
