SMS reply notifications and subscriber opt-out compliance

What’s changing

We’ve introduced a few changes to build out a more robust SMS notification system and add more compliance to our opt-out handling process.

• Senders will receive a notification when their SMS has been replied to
• Users will be unable to send messages to recipients who have opted out from SMS

All offices in all regions.

Getting started

Franchises: There is no end-user setting for this feature.

Availability

SMS replies are unable to be received in New Zealand due to privacy laws and restrictions placed by telecom providers. However, SMS can still be used for account notifications and job management as the opt-out process is compliant with relevant regulatory statutes. 

Rollout pace

This feature is generally available in the September 2021 software release.
