Construction Schedules provide a capability to track the completion of construction tasks for a specific Job, view dependencies of tasks, and visualize the entire construction progress on the Gantt chart.
List of Construction Schedules
You can manage Construction Schedules and correctly plan all the required construction activities and visualize them with a Gantt chart.
- To manage Construction Schedules, on the navigational sidebar, select Schedules.
- Once the Schedules section expands, select Construction.
The Construction Schedules section opens, as follows:
Here you can see the list of all Construction Schedules. For each Construction Schedule, the following information is displayed:
Job # | Number of the Job which the Construction Schedule attributes to. |
Customer | Name of the Customer that the Construction Schedule attributes to. |
Site | Site which the Construction Schedule is created for. |
Start | Start date of the construction. |
End | End date of the construction. |
Duration | Duration of the construction. |
Claim Rule | Draw rule for the construction jobs. |
Supervisor | Supervisor of the construction schedule. |
To Do’s | Flag that the construction schedule has ToDo items. |
You can perform the following operations on Construction Schedules:
- create a new Construction Schedule
- edit the existing Construction Schedule
- delete the no longer needed Construction Schedule
- manage tasks within Construction Schedules
- manage tasks on the Gantt chart
Creating / Editing Construction Schedules
Creation of a Construction Schedule has the following requirements for the Job:
- Authority to Commence date of the Job is defined.
- Schedule start date is earlier or equal to the Authority to Commence date. The system will also consider the Job Delays parameter that is configured for the Office.
- The draw rule is selected for the Job.
- Job is not finalized.
- Job is not in the Not Proceeding status.
How to Create a Construction Schedule
- On the Construction Schedules page, click Create New Schedule.
- In the Create New Schedule form, specify the following information:
Select job Select the job which the Construction Schedule is created for. Besides the Job number, you can enter the Customer name or the Site address. Construction Template Select the construction template to use for the Construction Schedule. - When complete, click Create. The Job Construction Schedule page opens.
Once you have created a construction schedule, you can view the list of construction stages and tasks at each stage, as follows:
For each construction schedule, the following information is displayed:
Job | Number of the Job which this construction schedule attributes to. |
Customer | Full name of the customer who the house construction starts for. |
Site Address | Address of the site where the construction will be performed. |
Finance Approved | Date that the finances were approved for the construction. |
County Approved | Date that the construction was approved by the county. |
Start Date | Date when the first task in the construction schedule starts. |
End Date | Date when the construction ends. It is calculated automatically by the system on the basis of construction duration in the construction schedule. |
Construction Schedule | Name of the construction schedule template used for the house construction. |
Claim Rule | Name of the applied draw rule. |
Authority to Commence | Date when the Authority to Commence was received. |
Contract Start | Date when the contract starts. |
Duration | Duration of the house construction in days. |
All this information is read-only. You cannot modify it here.
If you want to add the current construction schedule to the Supervisor Schedule Report, check the Add to Supervisor schedule box.
Editing the Construction Schedule
- On the Construction Schedules page, locate the one you want to edit.
- Hover over this construction schedule until the action icons appear.
- Click the Edit icon. Alternatively, you can click the corresponding row on the list with construction schedules.
- On the Construction Schedule page, make the appropriate modifications.
- When complete, click Process.
Deleting the Construction Schedule
- On the Construction Schedules page, locate the one you want to delete.
- Hover over this construction schedule until the action icons appear.
- Click the Delete icon.
- Confirm the removal of the construction schedule.
Searching for Construction Schedules
You can search for specific construction schedules by Site and Job Number.
- Above the list with construction schedules, locate the search box.
- Into the search box, enter the Job number or part of the Site information.
- Click the Find icon or press Enter. The system will show the list of construction schedules that match the search query.
To clear the search query, click the Clear icon located within the search box.
You can use the same approach to search for Pre-Construction and Warranty schedules.
Showing Construction Schedules
By default, the system hides construction schedules for the finalized Jobs and Jobs with handover dates. If needed, you can show them again on the list with current construction schedules.
To the right side of the list with construction schedules, locate the two toggles labeled as Finalized and Handover Date.
Move the appropriate toggle right to show construction schedules for finalized Jobs or for Jobs with handover dates.
